Black 47
Black 47 espouses an unblinkingly political and thoroughly Irish form of rock 'n' roll, with songs covering topics from the Northern Ireland conflict to civil rights and urban unrest in contemporary New York. Black 47 earned their chops playing the pub scene in Manhattan and self-producing their first indie record, Black 47, before converting The Cars' Ric Ocasek to the cause and gaining mainstream attention with their second album. "Usually most comfortable playing loud and live with upraised fists and chunky guitar riffs in local hangouts - explodes with declarations of gnashing street poetry punctuated with wailing uilleann pipes, Joe Strummer-style chord chops and Bourbon Street sax sojourns." - Rolling Stone |

Joe Hurley & Rogue's March
Joe Hurley is a London-bred, Irish-Blooded New Yorker who has performed over 1,000 shows in the USA. Called "the best singer of vowels in rock since Shane Macgowa" by the Village Voice, he is widely heralded for both the emotional delivery in his gravel-throated baritone, and his finely-tuned sense of lyrical detail. The critically acclaimed singer songwriter is the leader of two NYC groups, Rogue's March, and Joe Hurley & The Gents. Never Fear, the debut CD from Rogue's March that features the infamous ode to imbibing, "Shut up and Drink" (The NY Post called it "a New York Irish anthem") and the Christmas heartbreaker "Amsterdam Mistress," remains a permanent fixture on jukeboxes across the country. "Amsterdam Mistress" is featured on the new Sony Records CD, Whiskey In The Jar; Irish Drinking Songs and Singalongs along with classics from the Pogues, The Dubliners and the Clancy Brothers, and has been called "one of the most evocative ballads ever penned" by the Irish Voice. With Rogue's March, Hurley has released several CDs, toured with Flogging Molly and Cracker, and appeared on the main stage on both the Guinness Fleadhs (with the Chieftains and Sinead O'Connor) and the Warped Tour, where the band's NY appearance garnered a full-page feature in the NY Post. Hurley's tune "Madcap Tears" off the band's Chaser CD has been featured in the Captain Morgan's Rum TV ads worldwide for two years now, and his songs have appeared in numerous feature films including the forthcoming Christmas release Beautiful Kid starring Pulitzer-Prize winning author Frank McCourt. Many of the band's songs can be heard nationally on Sirius Satellite Radio, where the group has also performed live in studio. |

Unforgettable Fire
Unforgettable Fire, or "UF", was born on New Years Day in 1995 as one of the very first U2 tribute bands to ever perform in America. After over thirteen years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show. The members of UF are also very dedicated fans of U2, and will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb and beyond, the band does everything in their power (from wardrobe to lighting) to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences. |

Seth Adam
"The best new music of 2008: Seth Adams’ brand-new CD Where You Come From. You can find it on Seth’s MySpace page or at sethadam.com. This is the best “unsigned” group in America, and the hardest-working best live act in indie rock. All the songs on “Where You Come From” are potential radio hits, so catchy that once you’ve heard them it’s hard to get them out of your head. That is, if there were still pop/rock radio, they’d be all over “Promise” … I promise …" Roger Friedman Seth Adam creates compelling, accessible, timeless rock music with honest lyrics. With influences ranging from Counting Crows, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, his songs demonstrate a deft pop-sensibility and a compelling vulnerability which continue to touch an ever-growing and remarkably diverse fan base. |

John Whelan
Although John Whelan grew up near London in Dunstable, England, he was raised on the fiddle and pipe music of Ireland. Dunstable had a large Irish community, and his father, Denis, was from Ireland's County Wexford. "Ours was a very traditional household," John says. "My father didn't have any major vices - his only addiction was to Irish music." Denis carried a reel-to-reel tape recorder to many shows, collecting hours of live music. Songs of home elicited sentimental tears even when the words were not in English. "It was not the words but the emotion of the music that moved me,"John says. At age 14, already a seasoned winner of numerous accordion championships, John recorded his first album. Named in honor of his father, PRIDE OF WEXFORD was no passing fancy - the album is still in print and selling steadily. |
